Hello Gentlemen.

Since we are all eagerly awaiting the reveal of our inaugural release, I felt compelled to create something new for you. Thus marks the second official post from Fivetone. It is a song called “Last Breath”. Perhaps you will enjoy it.

Being a vocalist by trade, I find it very difficult not to impart words or at least some vocalization upon a piece. I have tried here to counteract this impulse by hiding the lyrics in layers of effects as well as using mostly the words of others, rather than my own. In this particular case, I’ve used the dying words of some somewhat famous people, hence the title. They are as follows:

“The earth is suffocating…

Swear to make them cut me open,

So that I won’t be buried alive” - Frederic Chopin, dying of tuberculosis

“I will see you again in the future,

On the other side” - …myself, ad-libbed

“Do you hear the rain?

Do you hear the rain?

Do you hear the rain?” - Jessica Dubroff, age 7, minutes before her plane crashed

“I see black light” - Victor Hugo, writer

See if you can make out the words in the static. Additionally, I’ve realized a common theme to my posts. See if you can spot it.
